Nesta versão foi melhora o desempenho dos clipes H.265, ProRes, DNxHR e OpenEXR de 10 bits.
adiciona suporte à codificação de áudio flutuante de 32 bit nos clipes QuickTime e ao corte do áudio do QuickTime durante o gerenciamento de mídia. Esta atualização também melhora o desempenho dos clipes H.265, ProRes, DNxHR e OpenEXR de 10 bits.
Outra grande adição ao 16.2.1 é o suporte à decodificação R3D baseada em metal com o RED 7.3 RC SDK.
Esta é a primeira implementação da aceleração da GPU R3D via Metal no Mac.
